Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 12/19

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

Sorry, folks. . .once again my desire to sleep in has managed to trump my ability to get the Open Thread posted at the standard time. Hopefully everyone's case of the shakes or withdrawals or what have you will subside before too much longer here.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-We're starting to see Mock Drafts already. Who does ESPN's Todd McShay have the Minnesota Vikings selecting?

-Arif and company have put together the latest episode of Norse Code for your listening enjoyment.

-The benefit of getting the Open Thread up late on a Thursday? Eric's picks column is already up.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-The team's drafting of a quarterback in 2014 might not be as simple as some might think.

-Running back Joe Banyard is back on the Vikings' practice squad, as is defensive end Spencer Nealy.

-1500 ESPN has a look at the defense from the Eagles' game.

-The Vikings were apparently going to audition Josh Freeman over the final two weeks of the season. Now? Not so much.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel that you absolutely must curse.

Your video selection for this Thursday, everyone.

Pretty sure I've used that one before at some point, but it's still pretty awesome.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday. . .finally. Apologies again for the delay, and we hope that you enjoy the rest of the day.
