It's the last day of the week, folks! That means we're just a couple of days away from the final game in Metrodome history, as the Minnesota Vikings will play host to the Detroit Lions one last time. We'll continue to have more on that as the day and the weekend move on.
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-We took a look at big defensive tackle Kevin Williams potentially playing his final game in purple this weekend.
-Rookie linebacker Michael Mauti will (hopefully) be getting a look at middle linebacker on Sunday.
-Ted won't be shedding any tears over the Metrodome going away.
-We did our final Five Question exchange of the season with the folks from Pride of Detroit.
From some other sources around the internet. . .
-Cornerback Xavier Rhodes is back practicing again. Hopefully we'll see him on Sunday.
-Former Vikings center Matt Birk will be honored before Sunday's game.
-What will the move from the Metrodome mean for the Vikings' two young specialists, Blair Walsh and Jeff Locke?
-The removal of the Metrodome seats remains an issue.
The rules of the Open Thread remain the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no religion, no politics, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel you absolutely must curse.
Your musical selection for this Friday. . .no rhyme, no reason. . .just feel like using this one.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, folks. Enjoy the rest of the day and the start of your weekend, and we'll have more for you as the day rolls on.
