Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 12/3

Hannah Foslien

Good morning, Minnesota Vikings fans! It's Tuesday morning, and more importantly it's the day that the ground will be broken for the new home of the Minnesota Vikings. There will be a stream of the groundbreaking on KSTP.com, from what I've been told.

That's about three hours from now. If we can find a way to embed the video stream here, then we will do so in a separate post. Otherwise, you'll just have to head over to the KSTP website and find the linkage from there.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-We have another discussion about the concept of "tanking."

-The Vikings have dropped further back in the race for the #1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

-Have the Vikings already won the Percy Harvin trade? I think so.

-The folks at the SB Nation mothership recapped the Vikings' 23-20 overtime victory over the Chicago Bears from this past Sunday.

From some other outposts around the internet. . .

-After the past few weeks, the Vikings are left to wonder about what could have been.

-Stop me if you've heard this one, but we apparently don't know who's starting at quarterback for the Vikings this week.

-How did running back Adrian Peterson have such a great day on Sunday?

-We're not the only ones that think that cornerback Chris Cook should be done in Minnesota.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've always been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no religion, no politics, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel that you absolutely must curse.

Since the Meat Loaf video I put up here yesterday got some pretty decent reception, let's give the big man a whole week.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, everybody. We'll have more for you on the groundbreaking if we can find it, and we'll have more for you throughout the day.
