Erin Henderson Shifting Back To Weak Side Linebacker

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Erin Henderson is still a starting linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings. He's just no longer the starting middle linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings.

The team has announced that Henderson will be shifting back to the weak side linebacker position, starting with this Sunday's contest against the Baltimore Ravens. This means that OMG AUDIE COLE will continue to start in the middle,as he has for the past two games.

Henderson missed both of those games. . .he was inactive for the Vikings' 26-26 tie against the Green Bay Packers in Week 12, and was active for the 23-20 overtime victory over the Chicago Bears this past Sunday, but did not play. He missed those games due to a couple of different issues. . .he was arrested for suspicion of DWI and was also dealing with an (apparently) unrelated "personal issue" along with that.

Chad Greenway will continue to start on the strong side of the linebacker trio. Greenway is coming off what might have been his best game of the season against Chicago, getting one of his higher grades of the year from Pro Football Focus and pulling in an interception (though it was negated by a penalty on Robert Blanton). Marvin Mitchell is the odd man out of this one, as he goes to the bench with Greenway, Cole, and Henderson as your new trio of starting linebackers.
