Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 3/1

Happy first day of March, ladies and gentlemen! We're getting closer to the start of free agency, which is good, because man are things are slow at the moment.

We do have a pretty big interview coming up in a day or two that Kyle is going to be conducting, so keep an eye out for that. I'm not going to spoil it for you or anything. . .I'll just leave it at that for now.

In case you missed it here on the site yesterday. . .

-Mark put together the latest version of his "off-season plan"

-Eric let us know that. . .as the kids might say. . .Chris Johnson is totally going to outrush Adrian Peterson next year, you guys (if Adrian Peterson has a leg amputated. . .and even then, I'd probably still take him over Chris Johnson)

From other places around the interwebs. . .

-Another day, another piece about lagging revenue for a new stadium for the Minnesota Vikings (but they're totally still getting a stadium. . .suck it, Marty)

-MOAR KLUWE SOCIAL ACTIVISM

-Quarterback Christian Ponder gave the Minnesota Golden Gophers' men's basketball team a pep talk before their upset of top-ranked Indiana a couple of days ago (but I'm sure Joe Webb would have given a significantly better one, am I right?)

-Tom Pelissero thinks that Tom Brady's recent contract extension should be a cue for the Vikings to get something done with Jared Allen

Finishing this installment of Weird Al week. . .and, as I said on Monday, this will probably happen again at some point. . .your ambient music for the day.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Friday, everybody. The rules are the same as they ever were, with no religion and no politics and minimal bad language and so forth. Keep an eye on the site for stories over the rest of the day, folks.
