Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 3/19

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

Little late in the day for this one, folks, and I apologize for that.

Since the last time we brought you an open thread. . .

-Ted took a look at some of the similarities between how this year's draft is shaping up and the infamous 2005 draft

-The Minnesota Vikings appear numerous times in NFL.com's "Greatest Play" Tournament

-Kyle took a look at the NFL's proposed new rule against running backs lowering their heads

-Our March Madness tournament pool was established

-We learned that the Vikings would not be getting any compensatory picks in this year's NFL Draft

-We found out exactly how much space the Vikings have left under the salary cap

-The Vikings got their loan from the NFL's G4 program for their new stadium

-With the release of compensatory picks, the Vikings' 2013 draft selections were finalized

As always, you know what the rules of the Open Thread are. . .no religion, no politics, and no bad language. For your ambient music today, we continue our "money" theme for this week.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy your day, and we'll have some more for you here later on.
