Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 3/5

Leon Halip

We're back for another day here at The Daily Norseman, ladies and gentlemen. The countdown to the start of free agency is getting closer, and we don't know exactly what the Minnesota Vikings are going to be doing at this point. . .there haven't been a whole lot of leaks yet, either, but hopefully we'll hear some more in the near future.

We only had a couple of stories for you yesterday. . .

-Mark put together the latest iteration of his off-season plan

-We let you know that the Vikings released receiver Michael Jenkins, something that had been anticipated for some time

Looking around the web at other sources. . .

-The Vikings made some changes on their coaching staff

-There's more whining taking place about the financing for the Vikings' new stadium

-Adrian Peterson basically laughed at Chris Johnson's declaration that he would outrush the best player in the National Football League next season (as well he should)

-Peterson was a big part of Red Tie Night down in Oklahoma, which raises money in the battle against HIV and AIDS

As always in the Open Thread, any topic is up for discussion, with the exception of religion and politics, and we ask that you keep the bad language to a minimum. To continue our theme for the week, here's another of my favorite television theme songs for your listening pleasure.

And, as a bonus, quite possibly the funniest scene in the history of the show.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. If we have anything breaking for you, we'll have it up here for your viewing pleasure as soon as we're able.
