The week is draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagging along, Minnesota Vikings fans, but we've made it to Wednesday. The free agent negotiation process starts on Saturday, and signings can begin as soon as Tuesday, March 12, so hopefully we'll have something to give you by then.

We've only had a couple of stories for you since the last Open Thread. . .

-We mentioned how the Donovan McNabb clusterfudge could have been avoided in 2011 (along with the glaring need for a new backup quarterback in Minnesota)

-We gave you the dates for the Vikings' 2013 off-season camps and practices

And that's really been about it. Because there really hasn't been a whole lot else to talk about. If you have any suggestions for stories you'd like to see during the dead time, feel free to toss them out there as part of the Open Thread discussion.

One non-football thing I wanted to toss out there, and that's the sending of condolences to the family of William Moody, who many wrestling fans will know better as Paul Bearer of WWF/E fame. He passed yesterday at the age of 58. The folks over at Cageside Seats have plenty of views and reaction.

No ambient music for today. . .doesn't seem right to follow-up something like that with a peppy little ditty from a television show. I'll get back to that tomorrow.

Same rules as always apply to the Open Thread. . .any topic is up for grabs except religion or politics. Bad language is also expected to be kept at a minimum.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Hopefully we'll have some good stuff for you later on today.
