As we've seen in the past couple of installments of our Mock Draft Database, California wide receiver Keenan Allen is someone that is definitely on the Minnesota Vikings' radar. He was unable to work out at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis because he is still recovering from a PCL injury to his left knee, but his body of work with the Golden Bears, where he caught 205 passes for 2,570 yards and 17 touchdowns in three seasons, still shows him to be a first-round quality prospect.
However, his stock might start dropping a bit, as NFL.com's Gil Brandt has now connected Allen to the one guy most athletes probably don't want to be connected to until after it's too late. . .Dr. James Andrews.
Keenan Allen will see Dr. Andrews Monday about his knee. Still slated to work out for @nfl clubs on 4/9 at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, NC

We'll have to see if his knee checks out. . .after all, if he's still planning on working out for NFL teams on April 9, maybe things aren't that bad. . .but having to pay a visit to Dr. Andrews is usually viewed as a bad sign. The injury caused Allen to miss the final three games of Cal's season this November, and he's still apparently in recovery mode.
For Vikings fans, this is definitely something to keep an eye on as the scouting and draft season moves forward.
