Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 4/1

Bruce Kluckhohn-US PRESSWIRE

Welcome to the start of a brand new week, ladies and gentlemen, and it's officially draft month across the National Football League. This is your Open Thread for this Monday, and the rules are the same as always. . .no religion, no politics, and keep the bad language to a minimum.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-SKOL GIRL IS BACK! And she has exclusive coverage of the wedding of Christian and Samantha Ponder.

-Arif took part in a Community Mock Draft over at Mocking the Draft. See how things came out for his pretend purple and gold.

-Ted takes a look at the Minnesota Vikings possibly trading up in the 2013 NFL Draft.

-We brought you the latest installment of our Mock Draft Database.

-And we hit another traffic milestone here at your favorite Vikings website.

At some other spots around the interwebs. . .

-Alan Page: NFL legend, Minnesota Supreme Court justice. . .children's book author.

-Speaking of Christian Ponder, he got an opportunity to see his father get inducted into a local sports Hall of Famein Georgia. (Turns out his father actually played in the National Football League. Who knew?)

-The Vikings have some holes left to fill, but they haven't got a whole lot of money left at the present time.

And, as a reminder, the first of our two selections in the SB Nation Writers Mock Draft is scheduled to go up at 11 AM Central time. We'll have a post here breaking down the selection at that time as well.

For our music this week, let's just go with some days of the week songs. Should be easy enough.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Monday, everybody. Enjoy the day, and we'll have stuff coming for you as the day goes on.
