A few days ago, the National Football League released the pre-season schedules for all 32 NFL teams, but the dates had not yet been finalized (ith the exception of the nationally televised pre-season games). That has been remedied, as the Minnesota Vikings have released the dates and times for their four pre-season contests.
The Vikings will start the pre-season at the Metrodome against the Houston Texans. That game will take place on Friday, August 9, with kickoff coming at 7:00 PM Central time.
From there, the Vikings will take a trip to Ralph Wilson Stadium to do battle with the Buffalo Bills. That game will happen on Friday, August 16 and is slated for a 6:00 PM Central time kickoff.
The third pre-season game for the Vikings will see them take a trip to the other coast to take on last year's NFC Super Bowl representative, the San Francisco 49ers. That game will take place on Sunday, August 25, and the 7:00 PM Central time kickoff will be televised on NBC's Sunday Night Football as their featured pre-season game for that week.
The pre-season finale will be back at the Metrodome with a game against the Tennessee Titans. As the fourth pre-season game usually does, it will take place in the middle of the week, scheduled for Thursday, August 29. Kickoff will again be slated for 7:00 PM Central time.
All of the Vikings' pre-season games will be televised on KARE-11, and will be on the radio on KFAN-FM 100.3 and KTCN-AM 1130.
