The Daily Norseman Mock Draft Database, v12.0

Well, folks, after a few months of doing this, we are officially at the penultimate version of the Daily Norseman Mock Draft Database. Putting these together has been a heck of a lot of work, but people seem to be enjoying them, and hopefully they'll give us some insight in what we can expect in 12 days when the 2013 NFL Draft kicks off.

Just a heads-up about next week's database. Because of a personal commitment I have to keep next weekend at around the time I generally cobble this whole thing together, the final version of the Mock Draft Database will not be published until either the day before or the day of the 2013 NFL Draft. That means I'll put it out there either Wednesday, April 24 or Thursday, April 25. More than likely, it will be on draft day.

With that, here's this week's table, which is now up to 78 mock drafts from across the internet. That means our charts (which are coming later) will reflect a possible 156 first-round selections in this year's draft. Mocks from SB Nation affiliated sites are shown in bold.

So, what are the tea leaves telling us this week?

Well, for starters, for the first time in forever, we have a new overall leader for most selected. North Carolina defensive tackle Sylvester Williams has wrestled the top spot away from Cal wide receiver Keenan Allen in this week's database. He's done so by the slimmest of margins, with the former Tar Heel getting 26 selections in this week's database and the former Golden Bear getting 25. Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o is solidly in third place with 19 selections this week. A couple of receivers round out the top five for this week, with Tennessee's Cordarrelle Patterson making a small jump to 11 picks, and Clemson's DeAndre Hopkins coming in right behind him with 10.

There's only one player making his debut in this week's database, and that's Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro. Making a re-appearance in this week's database is Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd.

Falling out of this week's database are Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei. . .again. . .Boise State cornerback Jamar Taylor, Florida International safety Jonathan Cyprien, and Southern Methodist defensive end Margus Hunt.

Wide receiver remains the most selected position for the Minnesota Vikings in this week's festivities, being tabbed with 59 of this week's 156 selections (37.8%). The defensive tackles remain in second place with 40 selections (25.6%), but the linebackers are catching up, as they sit in third with 36 picks (23.1%). Defensive backs are comfortably in fourth place with 16 selections (10.3%), and the defensive ends have dropped to just four selections this time around (2.6%). And, yes, there's one lone selection for Matt Barkley out there, which gives the quarterback position a whopping 0.6% of this week's picks. The offensive line is not represented for the second consecutive week.
