Happy Monday, everybody! (Yes, I know those words generally aren't used together.) But we're here to kick off another week of fun and excitement at your favorite Minnesota Vikings' website, so let's get it underway.
Just a reminder that our second-round pick in the SB Nation Writers Mock Draft will be posted at approximately 11 AM Central time, so keep an eye out for that.
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-We let you know that the Vikings are looking for a new person to fill the role of Viktor the Viking.
-Kyle took a look at Tyrann Mathieu and the potential issues with LSU's drug program.
-We also brought you the unfortunate news that Antoine Winfield has decided to move on to the Seattle Seahawks.
-Ted took a look at some of Rick Spielman's trades during his time in the Vikings' front office.
-Arif brought us our second Community Mock Draft, this one complete with trades.
-We also brought you the latest installment of our Mock Draft Database.
-Arif also continued his look at the draft-eligible wide receivers. (You can see the full stream right here.)
-We looked at the swirling rumor that the Vikings may be moving Joe Webb back to the position they originally intended to play him at in the first place.
-Ted examined the long tradition of players from THE. . .dramatic pause. . .Ohio State University being members of the Minnesota Vikings.
-And we noted that the Vikings seem to be doing a lot of tire kicking on a certain middle linebacker from a certain prestigious Midwestern university.
For our ambient music this week. . .if you're an American, this is that most dreaded of all days, when folks have to get the checkbook out for one of the things they dislike the most. Yep, it's tax day, everybody, and we're going to expand that to an entire tax week.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Monday, ladies and gentlemen. The rules for the Open Thread are the same as always. . .no politics, no religion, and keep the bad language to a minimum. Enjoy the rest of your day, folks, and we'll have some more stuff here for you as the day progresses.
