On a day like today, it helps to have a little bit of news from the lighter side. With that in mind, we bring you the following story.
According to the National Football League, what has generally been the best part of the Sunday Night Football broadcast over the past few years will no longer be a part of it.
Yes, my friends. . .Faith Hill will no longer be doing the introductory song for NBC's Sunday Night Football.
Amazing 2 have been part of SNF - an honor. I've just let everyone there know it's time 2 let someone else rock the open.
— Faith Hill (@FaithHill) April 15, 2013
No word yet on who NBC will replace Hill with, but I thought this sentence from the linked story above about it kind of says it all.
Expect NBC to replace the country icon with a similarly safe, commercially relevant artist whom your mom knows.
Well. . .I guess it isn't going to be Disturbed or Motörhead or anything like that. Though I don't think I'd believe Lemmy if he told me he had been waiting all day for Sunday night anyhow. My guess is that it's going to be someone like Taylor Swift.
Take that last sentence however you wish.
