They're down to the final two in the voting to see who will grace the cover of Madden NFL 25, and the match-up that a lot of people were apparently hoping for has materialized.
On the "New School" side, as expected, Minnesota Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson has moved on to the finals courtesy of another relatively easy victory. In the "New School" finals, he took down Houston Texans' running back Arian Foster by a score of 64% to 36%. The 64% of the vote is the lowest percentage of the vote in a face-off that he's had to this point, but it was good enough for him to top the 31 other players on his side of the bracket.
On the "Old School" side of things, the finals match-up was a battle of two of the best players at their positions in NFL history, as former San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice was paired against someone that Vikings fans are quite familiar with, Detroit Lions' running back Barry Sanders. It was another close match-up, but in the end, Sanders pulled out the victory by a margin of 52% to 48%.
That means that the finals are a match-up between the man that was, arguably, the best running back of his era against the man that is, not arguably, the best running back of his. I, personally, think it would be best for both men to share the cover and show the transition from the "old school" to the "new school." Really, what's the point of having both of the brackets if both aren't going to be featured?
In any event, if you'd like to vote for. . .or against. . .Adrian Peterson for the cover of Madden NFL 25, the voting can be found right here.
