We are just one week away from the 2013 NFL Draft, everybody. What will the Minnesota Vikings be doing? Heck, I don't have any idea. . .and, at this point, neither does anybody else. But whatever it is, we'll be here every step of the way.
Just a reminder that the National Football League will be releasing the 2013 season schedule at 7 PM Central this evening, and there will be a show about it on the NFL Network. We will have the schedule here for you as well within minutes of it being announced. (Seriously, we have a post done up and everything. . .it just needs to be filled in with the proper information.
Also, the last set of uniform spoilers will either be out soon or is out already. Eric should have those ready to go before too much longer here. Be sure to follow him on Twitter to get them straight away.
Now, then. . .since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-We passed along the info that Vikings' great Joey Browner will be announcing who the team selects in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
-The Madden NFL 25 cover vote has come down to our own Adrian Peterson and some guy named Barry Sanders.
-Ted looks at why Keenan Allen's draft stock might be dropping as we get closer to the 2013 NFL Draft.
From other outposts around the internet. . .
-The folks from SB Nation's site dedicated to the Houston Texans, Battle Red Blog, has completed the Vikings' selection at #25 in their Community Mock Draft.
-Arrowhead Pride, the home of the Kansas City Chiefs on SB Nation, has gotten to that part of their Community Mock Draft as well.
-Fox Sports North does not see a need for MOAR TIGHT END in Minnesota.
-ESPN's "Uni Watch" blog had readers submit their ideas for the Vikings' new uniforms. Some of them are. . .ahem. . .interesting.
-Bud Grant will be paying homage to his home town of Superior, Wisconsin on May 1. (Yes, I originally had Superior, Minnesota. . .natural mistake, since Minnesota is superior to Wisconsin in every conceivable way.)
Your latest bit of ambient music as "Tax Week" continues.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for a Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. Be sure to be here for the schedule release, and have a great Thursday!
