Greg Childs Optimistic About Progress

Hannah Foslien

We used a picture of Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver Greg Childs as the image for yesterday's Open Thread, and some folks were wondering if any of us knew how he was doing as far as his rehab goes.

Now, not being "insiders" with the team or anything, we don't have any real information that the rest of you haven't got about how Childs is progressing after tearing both of his patellar tendons on a one-in-a-million play during last year's Training Camp scrimmage. However, if what he put on his Twitter account yesterday is any indication, things are going rather well for last year's fourth-round pick.

Yes, I do believe that would qualify as "optimistic."

The Vikings will be having their first voluntary Organized Team Activities (OTAs) of the off-season this coming Monday. I'm sure that #85 is going to be there to support his teammates. But will he be doing more?

Frankly, I'm just as excited as the rest of you to find out.
