2013 NFL Draft: Minnesota Vikings Picks

Al Bello

The Minnesota Vikings have the third-highest number of selections in the 2013 NFL Draft, coming in with 11 picks to their name. The only teams that have more are the two teams that participated in the most recent Super Bowl, as the San Francisco 49ers have 13 and the Baltimore Ravens have 12.

In order to better prepare you for this weekend, let's take a brief look at what selections the Vikings currently have on tap for each day of the 2013 NFL Draft. Picks listed below are the Vikings' original picks unless otherwise denoted.

Thursday Night - Round 1

Round 1 - 23rd overall selection
Round 1 - 25th overall selection (acquired from Seattle Seahawks in Percy Harvin trade)

Friday Night - Rounds 2 and 3

Round 2 - 52nd overall selection
Round 3 - 83rd overall selection

Saturday - Rounds 4, 5, 6, and 7

Round 4 - 102nd overall selection (acquired from Detroit Lions in the 2012 NFL Draft)
Round 4 - 120th overall selection
Round 5 - 155th overall selection
Round 6 - 189th overall selection
Round 7 - 213th overall selection (acquired from Arizona Cardinals in A.J. Jefferson trade)
Round 7 - 214th overall selection (acquired from Buffalo Bills through Seattle in Percy Harvin trade)
Round 7 - 229th overall selection

With a draft as wide open as this one, however, there's no way that the Vikings are going to be picking at all of those exact places. All of their picks are eligible to be traded, as they don't have any compensatory picks, so Rick Spielman has a lot of ammo to work with over the next three days.
