With the 29th pick of the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have selected Cordarrelle Patterson out of the University of Tennessee.
Well, folks, I thought the Minnesota Vikings were done in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, but it turns out I was incorrect on that front. The team has traded their second round pick, their third round pick, one of their fourth round picks (the one they got from Detroit), and their seventh round pick to move up.
For those of you who followed our Mock Draft Database, there was a stretch where Patterson was the most popular wide receiver in the database. He wound up, when it was all said and done, being the top receiver in the database, outdistancing California's Keenan Allen and the rest of the wide receiver corps.
So, now I'm pretty sure the Vikings are done in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. And, with this trade, appear to be done until Saturday, as they no longer have any Friday picks.
