Three weeks ago, we let you know that Duron Carter, son of soon-to-be Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter, was going to be taking part in a "Super Regional" workout in Dallas prior to the 2013 NFL Draft. At the conclusion of said story, I mentioned this about Carter and Joe Montana's son, Nate.
Both of these young men have a pretty hard row to hoe if they hope to make it to the National Football League. Neither is expected to be drafted, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Vikings at least bring Duron Carter in for part of camp as an undrafted free agent signing.
Well hey, look at what Adam Schefter put on the Twitter just a little bit ago.
Like father like son: Former Vikings Hall-of-Fame WR Cris Carter's son, Alabama WR Duron Carter, is signing with Vikings today.

Granted, this doesn't exactly make me Nostradamus or anything. The dots were relatively easy to connect. Duron is going to attempt to follow in his dad's footsteps. . .although if he were really going to do that, he probably should have looked into signing with the Philadelphia Eagles first.
I'm not sure if he's got a snowball's chance in Cuba of making the team or anything, but as I said, it certainly doesn't hurt to give him a shot in camp.
