The week just rolls right along here at your favorite Minnesota Vikings' website, folks. It's already Wednesday, and we've got some good stuff here for you.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-We made our second first-round pick in the SB Nation Writers Mock Draft, grabbing Ohio State defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins. We then went on to explain the rationale behind the pick.

-Arif organized. . .in a very short about of time. . .our Community Mock Draft for this year. Remember, folks, it's this coming Saturday if you're interested in observing.

-Ted looked at some of the players the Vikings hosted leading up to the draft. . .a list that includes one Mr. Hun E. Badger, apparently.

At other outposts across the internet. . .

-Dawgs by Nature, SB Nation's site for the Cleveland Browns, is having their Community Mock Draft as well, and they've gotten to Minnesota's first pick. (Hint: It's going to look awfully familiar.)

-SI.com has an interview with everyone's favorite punter for your reading pleasure

-Ray Edwards is scheduled for another "boxing match," in which he hopes to actually connect with a punch

-Former NFL coach Jack Pardee passed away on Monday at the age of 76

-Former Vikings great Carl Eller sat down with his hometown newspaper for an interview

-And, from TMZ, this is what happens when you attempt to photograph Adrian Peterson

Once again, this is the Open Thread, where we aren't going to talk about politics or religion, but we can talk about pretty much everything else as long as we keep it clean. Let's roll forward with our ambient music for the day.

To channel my inner Andy Rooney for a moment. . .did you ever notice that there aren't a whole lot of songs with "Wednesday" in the title? Because, really, there aren't.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Wednesday, everybody. Enjoy!
