SB Nation Touchdown Of The Year: Only One AP Touchdown Left

Joe Robbins

Going into the final eight of SB Nation's quest to find the best touchdown of the 2012 NFL season, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson held three of the final eight spots.

However, after the round of eight. . .thanks, at least in part, to two of his touchdowns being matched against each other, only one of those three plays pushed through to the Final Four.

That play is his 82-yard run against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in December.

He's matched up against this play, courtesy of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrew Hawkins.

Obviously, I'm biased, but Peterson should get the nod here. You can cast your vote right here.

The other match-up features this play from Tampa Bay Buccaneers' running back Doug Martin. This is the one that knocked off one of Adrian Peterson's touchdown runs.

He's going up against Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles and this incredible run. (Sorry, I'm not sure if there's a decent YouTube clip of that one, so the link takes you to NFL.com.) You can vote on that match-up at this link here.

Head on over and help push Adrian Peterson through to the finals, folks! At the present time, he's losing to Hawkins by a tally of 56% to 43%.
