Daily Norseman Live Community Draft: Get Your GM On

Welcome to the first Daily Norseman community mock for the 2013 draft season. If you're a casual observer of the mock, we're running two rounds with no trades. Every few picks, this post will be updated with the draft results. Everyone wants to get your feedback on their pick, so feel free to comment.

That same rule goes for everyone assigned to a team. Here are the other rules for today's mock draft:

- Picks are made by the person assigned to each team and that person only. Backups will be solicited to pick if the assigned GM is not available or has submitted a Big Board to me. Backups should submit only after they are solicited.

- Users get up to five minutes per pick, and the clock starts when I inform a team that they are on the clock. No picks will be awarded if a team picks prior to my indication that they are on the clock. I will be doing a few things during the draft, so I will not always be immediately available during a pick.

- The Vikings will be picked by the community in the discussion in the comments. The selection criteria will include strength of argumentation, relative popularity and my choice. I'll be leaning towards the first criterion the most and will use the last criterion as a tiebreaker. This discussion is estimated to last about fifteen minutes

- For the teams without a rep or if the time runs out, I'll be making the pick.

- In order to avoid running out of time, you may pick your selection without an explanation, then submit an explanation in a comment replying to the pick.

- If I or the community think you're throwing your pick, I will make a new pick and you're done. This won't mean that second-round reaches will be thrown out, but it needs to make sense. A player projected in the third round should generally not be picked in the top half of the first round.

If I have time, I will grade the mocks at a later date, but this is not a strength of mine.

Users may be silent throughout the mock, so I cannot know or keep track of everyone as the mock is ongoing. If you do not check in and only comment sporadically, I may assume that you are not here and ask a backup to submit a pick or submit a pick myself.

If you want to participate but did not sign up on Wednesday, please indicate that you'd like to be a backup for a team below that does not have a listed backup. I will do my best to make sure you get that team. Do not assume you are a backup until I confirm it. This will also be counted as checking in.
