It's the start of another week here, ladies and gentlemen, and we continue to get closer to the 2013 NFL Draft. The festivities kick off from New York City in just 17 days, and we're going to effort to give you the best coverage of the Minnesota Vikings leading up to, during, and after the draft takes place.
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-Arif led us through our annual Community Mock Draft. Three rounds of great discussion and selections for every team in the National Football League.
-Eric and I combined to bring you the latest set of Minnesota Vikings uniform teasers.
-We looked at a potential change to the format of the Pro Bowl, starting next season.
-We put together the latest version of our Mock Draft Database.
-Cris Carter's son, Duron, is part of a "super regional" combine-type workout in Dallas in the hopes of enhancing his draft stock.
From other outposts around the internet. . .
-Ben Goessling of the St. Paul Pioneer Press lets us know that the Vikings are still leaning towards filling the middle linebacker position in the draft.
-Goessling also tells us that defensive end Everson Griffen has his own new addition for motivation this season.
The rules for the Open Thread are the same as they've always been. . .no religion, no politics, and keep the bad language to a minimum.
As far as this week's music, I don't really have a solid theme in mind. Although it has come to my attention that today is the birthday of the artist behind one of my favorite old school songs. So, I might just go with older rap/hip-hop type songs for this week.
Happy birthday, Biz!
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for a Monday, ladies and gentlemen. We'll be back later on in the day with more stuff for you.
