Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 5/14

New, comments

Hey, everybody! Anything happen yesterday that I should know about?

Oh, yeah. . .AWESOME NEW STADIUM, that's what happened!

That was really the big story that came out of Viking-land yesterday, in case you missed it. (We talked about receiver Cordarrelle Patterson being invited to the NFLPA Rookie Premiere next week, but hey. . .NEW STADIUM!)

Looking around the rest of the internet, the only other real story involves Vikings' PR guru Jeff Anderson laying the smack down on some guy from the Star-Tribune about the impact the Minnesota Vikings have on the community. (SPOILER: The Vikings do a lot more for the community than Star-Tribune guy wanted to give them credit for.)

Oh, and if you missed Eric's appearance on KSTP-5 yesterday leading up to the stadium reveal, well. . .check it out!

Don't smack your monitor. . .Eric's shirt really is that color.

(I kid, Eric, I kid.)

The interview was pretty awesome. . .just a shame they didn't mention the name of the site here or anything. But hey, more and more people are learning who we are every day, which is pretty great, too.

The rules for the Open Thread are the same as they always have been. . .no religion, no politics ("Suck it, Marty" has been grandfathered in, because of course it has), and no bad language.

In keeping with this week's theme of wrestling entrance music, and in light of yesterday's announcement. . .there's no better tribute right now than a great Minnesota product. Because what we saw yesterday, in my opinion, is nothing short of. . .

Perfect.

It's not so much the "entrance music" as it is a tribute video. . .but hey, it has a great Minnesota Vikings player part way through it. Enjoy!

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for a Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll have more for you later on today.
