Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 5/2

Hannah Foslien

We are one week removed from the 2013 NFL Draft. . .yes, already. After the way time dragged leading up to it, I'm surprised how the time is flying by now. But, we've got your Open Thread for today for you to talk about whatever you'd like with your fellow Minnesota Vikings fans, as long as it isn't religion or politics. Also keep in mind that, because the busy time for this is during the day, give some thought to what kind of content you put into the thread here.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-According to Vikings' linebacker Erin Henderson, Erin Henderson is going to start OTAs as the Vikings' middle linebacker.

-Kyle let us know that quarterback Christian Ponder suffered a bit of a medical emergency this off-season, and Certified Athletic Trainer Eric Sugarman™ averted what could have been a real disaster.

-Arif has a look at the undrafted free agents that will be heading to camp with the Minnesota Vikings.

From other outposts across the internet. . .

-Receiver Greg Jennings is pretty happy with the Vikings thus far.

-Speaking of Vikings receivers, Jerome Simpson is healthy. . .and it sounds like Greg Childs might be getting there.

-The Vikings are teaming up with a charity called "Free the Children" for the first ever Minnesota "We Day," taking place this October.

-Sounds like Joe Webb is doing some work at wide receiver.

-Rushing for 2,000 yards was nice and all, but Adrian Peterson has a higher goal for 2013.

Your ambient music for today, folks.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. Have a good Thursday, and we'll have more good stuff for you throughout the course of the day today.
