This is probably going to be the last work day of the week for a lot of you, what with the big Memorial Day weekend coming up. We're glad you've chosen to spend at least part of your day hanging out here with your fellow Minnesota Vikings fans.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Quarterback Christian Ponder is going to be signing autographs at the Mall of America this evening starting at 6 PM.

-World Wrestling Entertainment is looking to develop a relationship with the National Football League.

-Some of the Vikings' defensive players put together a "Harlem Shake" video. Next, they're going to be doing their best Star Wars Kid parodies.

-Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher announced his retirement from the NFL, which means he's probably not coming to Minnesota. Probably.

-The NFL awarded future Super Bowls to two cities on Wednesday.

From other outposts across the internet. . .

-Bud Grant and Paul Krause are on opposite sides of an issue making its way through the Minnesota government.

-The Environmental Impact Statement for the new Vikings' stadium has been released, if you're into that sort of thing.

-Linebacker Chad Greenway seems to really like the direction his team is going.

Once again, the rules for the Open Thread are as follows. . .no politics, no religion, keep the bad language to a minimum, and please don't feed the trolls.

For today's theme music, a guy that's really come a long way in his career. . .though it took him a while to get there. . .and is frankly one of my favorites at this point.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for a Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll be back with more later on.
