It's another hump day here at The Daily Norseman, ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for choosing to stop on by and share some of your day with your fellow Minnesota Vikings fans.
OTAs are underway at Winter Park, but the media wasn't allowed any sort of access yesterday. Apparently they will be allowed to watch for a while today, though, so hopefully there will be some news trickling out about how awesome everyone looks. (Seriously, when was the last time you saw an OTA report that says, "Man, this guy looked awful?")
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-Kyle broke down the Vikings' wide receiver depth chart and speculated who will make the team and who should be renting, not buying.
-Bud Grant managed to sneak on to ESPN's list of the top NFL coaches of all time, slotting in at #15.
From some other outposts around the internet. . .
-The Vikings' official website is holding a vote to see who should be on the cover of the 2014 swimsuit calendar. THIS IS IMPORTANT, PEOPLE!
-This year's Training Camp will officially kick off on July 25. SPOILER: If you're going to be attending, it will be freaking hot outside.
-The 2014 NFL Draft will be held from May 8 - 10, 2014. . .in part because of a conflict with Radio City Music Hall.
-Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com has his take on Adrian Peterson's comments on same-sex marriage.
The rules for the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, folks. . .no politics, no religion, no bad language, and don't feed the trolls.
For today's music. . .we had some metal yesterday. Let's go to one of the other ends of the spectrum.
Mr. Coe is right. . .it is, indeed, the perfect country and western song. And a heck of an audience participation number on karaoke night.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Hang out here for a while, and we'll have some more stuff for you later on.
