Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 5/7

USA TODAY Sports

After a relatively eventful Monday, it's time for a new Open Thread here at your favorite Minnesota Vikings website.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Kyle brought us another great interview when he got the chance to sit down with soon-to-be Hall of Famer Cris Carter.

-The Vikings formally released punter Chris Kluwe. Kyle put up his own, personal story about his feelings on the matter.

-Ted examined whether or not Christian Ponder and some receiver from Seattle are taking subtle jabs at each other.

-The Vikings made another roster move yesterday, as they signed offensive lineman Brandon Keith and released wide receiver Nicholas Edwards.

From other outposts across the internet. . .

-There are a limited number of seats available to the public for the unveiling of the Vikings' new stadium design.

-Kevin Seifert of ESPN has his take on the release of Chris Kluwe.

-A Pennsylvania newspaper is calling Vikings' draft pick Mike Mauti the most intriguing linebacker in Penn State history. (Considering that the place is called "Linebacker U.," that's nothing to sneeze at.)

-Greg Jennings has declared that he's going to be a leader this season.

-Albert Breer of NFL.com talks about the Vikings going from their 2011 implosion to a contender by building through the draft.

Your ambient music for today, folks.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for a Tuesday, everybody. Enjoy your day, and we'll be back with more later on.
