Former Vikings Running Back Ted Brown Inducted Into College Football Hall Of Fame

Now with comments!

USA TODAY Sports

Ted Brown, former Vikings running back (1979-1986) has been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. A first round pick (16th overall), Brown played college ball at North Carolina State University, where he set an ACC record in career rushing yards with 4,602. He also had the single game record of 251 yards against Penn State- because they didn't have Gerald Hodges and Michael Mauti back then. (Kidding. Kind of.)

In his time with the Vikings, Brown netted 4,546 yards in 104 games, including a 1K season in 1981. He also gained 2,850 yards total receiving, as well as 53 total touchdowns in his time with the purple and gold.

Congratulations to Ted Brown and his newfound honor!
