Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 5/8

Hannah Foslien

It's another Hump Day here at your favorite Minnesota Vikings website, ladies and gentlemen. Here's your Open Thread for today, where the rules are the same as always (and yet, after yesterday, apparently need to be emphasized again).

NO religion.

NO politics.

NO bad language.

Clear? Good.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Ted Brown was voted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Congratulations to him.

-Former Vikings' defensive end Nick Reed has joined the United States Air Force.

From other outposts around the internet. . .

-Southern University offensive coordinator Steve Germany will be joining the Minnesota Vikings this off-season and pre-season as part of the Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellowship.

-The Vikings actually got a little love from Brian Billick in his post-draft Power Rankings.

-The Vikings' new stadium is going to be "modernistic." Honestly, I didn't even know that was a word, but my spell check isn't pinging, so it must be.

Yep, we've gotten to the time of year where there's not a whole lot happening, folks. We're attempting to find some stuff to talk about up until Training Camp starts. If you've got any ideas, feel free to pass them along.

Here's your ambient music for today, ladies and gentlemen.

Lemmy scares me. And seriously, he ought to scare you, too.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy your day, and we'll have more stuff for your reading enjoyment as the day moves along.
