The world of Hollywood was rocked this week by the sudden death of actor James Gandolfini at the age of 51. Gandolfini was best known for his role on HBO's hit series The Sopranos, where he played the patriarch of the Soprano family, Tony.
Gandolfini had many roles beyond that, however, including one that involves our favorite football team. . .and not necessarily in a role that many of us would have liked to see him in.
He was the narrator for the 2009 NFL Network special The Missing Rings, specifically the episode that featured the 1998 Minnesota Vikings, who were featured as one of the best teams in the history of the National Football League to not bring home a Super Bowl championship.
The first part of the special is embedded below. It's broken up into five parts, which you can see by heading to YouTube and finding the different pieces of the program.
Our condolences go out to the family and friends of James Gandolfini.
