We are back and ready to go for another week, ladies and gentlemen. Not only that, today is the kickoff of the tournament to determine who you think the Greatest Viking Of All Time is. Who will be taking part in the first match-up? You'll know at 8 AM Central time when the post goes up.
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-We conducted the play-in game for our tournament, which was won by former Minnesota Vikings cornerback Ed Sharockman.
-In non-Vikings news, the investigation into New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is still going on.
-Linebacker Desmond Bishop still has three teams he's attempting to choose between.
-New Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings already thinks pretty highly of quarterback Christian Ponder.
-Adrian Peterson was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Oh, and he linked to us on his Twitter account about it. (Awesome!)
-We let you know that defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd will get plenty of playing time despite being listed as second on the depth chart as of now.
-We asked you to tell us about your most unique piece of Vikings memorabilia.
-The NFL has named an award after the late Deacon Jones to honor the NFL's sack leader starting in 2013.
-Christian Ponder got a chance to sit down with SiriusXM NFL Radio.
-And we highlighted a couple of FanPosts for your reading pleasure. . .one from GreatOdin'sRaven looking for some pointers for his first trip to the Twin Cities, and one from 6KINGS_ talking about the underrated nature of the 2013 Minnesota Vikings.
