Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 6/5

USA TODAY Sports

Happy Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome back to another day of Vikings' coverage here at The Daily Norseman. The Minnesota Vikings are continuing their second OTA session today, and if there's anything that comes from that, we will certainly pass it along to you as early as we can.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Drew Magary of Deadspin.com (and rabid Vikings fan) joined SB Nation's Matt Ufford on the latest episode of Uffsides.

-The playground at the Amplatz Children's Hospital named for Vikings' center John Sullivan will have its ribbon-cutting ceremony today.

-The legendary Deacon Jones passed away on Monday at the age of 74.

From some other outposts around the internet. . .

-There will apparently be about $6 million of new walkways connecting to the new Minnesota Vikings stadium.

-Vikings blogger Mike Wobschall has the lone reports from OTA session #4 for the Minnesota Vikings.

-Fox 9 got an opportunity to spend the day with Vikings' rookie Sharrif Floyd.

Once again, you know the rules for the Open Thread. . .no politics, no religion, no bad language, and no feeding of the trolls.

Our journey through the world of cover songs continues with one that I think most of us are pretty familiar with. As we've done thus far, here's the original first.

And now, the cover version.

Really like both versions of this one, myself.

And with that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for a Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Come in, hang out, and relax with your fellow Vikings fans, and we'll effort to have more for you as the day progresses.
