We've started a new month, ladies and gentlemen! More importantly, this is the month that the Minnesota Vikings will start Training Camp in preparation for the 2013 NFL season. But, while we still have 25 days to kill until we get to that point, we hope to have plenty of stuff to fill in during the lull.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Speaking of Training Camp, the Vikings have posted their schedule for the time they're in Mankato.

-We had all sorts of action over the weekend in our Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament, and we'll have more match-ups for you coming in about an hour or so.

-Certified Athletic Trainer Eric Sugarman™ and company won an award from Hydroworx for what they did with Adrian Peterson.

-The Gage Towers at Minnesota State University-Mankato? They gone!

-Adrian Peterson was #1 on the NFL Network's Top 100 list, because duh.

-Jared Allen is still doing more good charity work, this time with the Professional Bull Riders.

-The folks at The Viking Age put together their Vikings anti-Mount Rushmore.

-Linebacker Desmond Bishop has just $50,000 of guaranteed money in the one-year deal he signed with the Vikings.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, folks. . .no politics, no religion, don't feed the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum. Or, you know, if you're going to swear, use the spoiler tags. That works.

With this week being 4th of July week. . .and a three-day work week for a lot of folks. . .I think we have a theme for this week's ambient music. With this first one, be warned. . .there are some naughty words. One in particular.
