Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament: Anthony Carter Advances

This first round match-up in our Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament started out as a pretty close contest. But, as he so often did throughout his NFL career, the man known as AC just pulled away as the end got closer.

Anthony Carter took down Gary Zimmerman in their match-up in our tournament. When the final vote figures were compiled, Carter had gotten 108 "recs" from our Daily Norseman faithful, while Zimmerman wound up with 72 "recs." As I said, it was back-and-forth in the early going, but Carter managed to increase his lead and make his way to the victory.

In the second round, Carter will go head-to-head with one of his teammates from his days in Minnesota, defensive end Chris Doleman. Doleman moved on to the second round by defeating Jeff Christy in their match-up.
