Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 7/16

Tuesday is upon us, folks! And, as you might expect, there isn't a whole lot going on in the world of Minnesota Vikings football. I'd expect the team's three first-round draft picks to sign just about any day now, and we'll be at Training Camp before you know it.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread, we gave you the first two match-ups of the second round of our Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament. Those match-ups had Adrian Peterson taking on Zygi Wilf and Cris Carter battling Matt Blair. The results of those two match-ups will be up in about an hour and a half or so. . .not that there's a lot of suspense. . .and the next two will be up about half an hour before that.

From other outposts around the internet. . .

-Former Vikings quarterback Sage Rosenfels has officially announced his retirement.

-Hazeltine Golf Club will host the Vikings' first ever Tee Up For Tomorrow tournament today, led by Hall of Famer John Randle.

-The official website of the Cleveland Browns takes a look at our favorite football team. The Vikings host the Browns in the home opener this year.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as always, folks. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum and/or use the spoiler tags if you're going to curse.

MOAR ANIMANIACS as we move on through this week, folks.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. If we get any news of any sort, we will have it here for you
