The week rolls on here at your home for Minnesota Vikings coverage, ladies and gentlemen.
It's been a bit of a slow week news-wise. . .yesterday, all we had for your reading pleasure was a couple of fine match-ups in our Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament (Robert Smith vs Gary Larsen and Jim Kleinsasser vs. Ed McDaniel) and the advancement of Alan Page and Bud Grant.
There were some stories from around the rest of the internet, however.
-ESPN's Kevin Seifert points out that the Vikings might now have two kickoff options at their disposal.
-A fuzzy, happy column from. . .Jim Souhan? Really? Yep, he likes the direction that the Vikings are moving in.
-It's been decided who will be developing the area around the new Minnesota Vikings stadium.
-Gopher football season is rapidly approaching, and The Daily Gopher will have all the goods for you on that front.
-The Minnesota Twins have actually been better than expected this year. Twinkie Town is your home for coverage of all that.
-For you NBA fans, it's free agency season in the Association. Keep an eye on Canis Hoopus to see what the Timberwolves might do.
-And it's the off-season in the NHL as well, with Hockey Wilderness being your leader in Minnesota Wild coverage.
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as usual, folks. . .no politics, no religion, don't feed the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum (or, at least, use the spoiler tags if you're going to curse and stuff).
Keeping with our "all-American" theme for this week, here's your ambient music for the day.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy your day, and if anything newsworthy does come down the pike, we're going to be all over it.
