Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament: Carl Eller Advances

Malcolm Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Joey Browner is one of the hardest hitters in the history of the Minnesota Vikings. However, after his second round match-up in our Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament, he might want to get the number of the truck that hit him instead.

Carl Eller advanced past Browner and into the Sweet 16 of our tournament in relatively easy fashion. When the numbers were tallied up, Eller wound up with 152 "recs" from our readers, while Browner could manage just 18 "recs." It's hard for anyone to go head-to-head against a Hall of Famer, and even a great safety like Browner found himself overwhelmed by the support for the former Purple People Eater.

Eller's victory sets up what should be another incredible Sweet 16 match-up. He will go head-to-head against fellow Hall of Famer John Randle for the right to move to the Elite 8.

Keep your eyes on our site here for more match-ups and results from our Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament as we push towards the Sweet 16!
