The hits just keep on coming for the Minnesota Vikings, as they have signed another of their first round draft picks to a contract. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately available.

Tennessee wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, who came to the Vikings via a big trade on draft night, has agreed to terms of his rookie contract with the team, according to the team's official Twitter account. The Vikings moved up from their second round pick to the 29th pick in the first round in a trade with the New England Patriots, giving up a third round pick, a fourth round pick, and a seventh round pick (which they ultimately got back) in order to make it happen. Everyone thought (feared?) that they were moving up for Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o, but that turned out not to be the case.

Patterson is considered to be an extremely raw talent, but one that can at least make an impact in the return game right away for our favorite football team. He's also taken the number 84. . .you know, just in case there wasn't already enough pressure on him.

Congratulations, Cordarrelle, and welcome to Minnesota!
