Eric Sugarman has patched up a lot of injuries during his time with the Minnesota Vikings, and some pretty significant ones at that. However, it wasn't enough for him to move past one of the team's hardest hitters in our Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament.
Safety Robert Griffith became the lowest seed to advance to the second round of our tournament, as he took down the Vikings' current medical ace in their first round match-up. The final tally showed Griffith coming away with 137 "recs," while Sugarman came away with 57 "recs" to his credit.
Griffith's moving on sets up an interesting match-up in the second round, as he will face off against another hard-hitting defensive back in Antoine Winfield.
That match, and many others, will take place in our second round, which starts on Monday, 15 July. In the meantime, watch for the rest of the first round match-ups, and keep on voting, folks!
