One of our readers asked about this in the roster post, so I thought I'd put it out here for everybody.
The Minnesota Vikings' pre-season games will be broadcast locally on KARE-11. The third pre-season game against the San Francisco 49ers will be broadcast nationally on NBC. As was the case last year, the games will be simulcast with the radio network, with the play-by-play being provided by the radio announce team of Paul Allen and former Vikings' linebacker and coach Pete Bercich. If you don't already know the full pre-season schedule, it looks like this.
Friday, 9 August - Houston Texans at Minnesota Vikings, 7 PM Central
Friday, 16 August - Minnesota Vikings at Buffalo Bills, 6 PM Central
Sunday, 25 August - Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers, 7 PM Central
Thursday, 29 August - Tennessee Titans at Minnesota Vikings, 7 PM Central
Game replays this year will happen on two different channels, the NFL Network and Fox Sports North. Here is the replay schedule for Fox Sports North:
Texans at Vikings - Saturday, 10 August, 11:00 PM Central
Vikings at Bills - Saturday, 17 August, 9:30 PM Central
Titans at Vikings - Friday, 30 August, 10:30 PM Central
And here is the replay schedule for the NFL Network:
Texans at Vikings - Saturday, 10 August, 11:00 PM Central
Vikings at Bills - Sunday, 18 August, 9:00 AM Central
Vikings at 49ers - Tuesday, 27 August, 11:00 PM Central
Titans at Vikings - Saturday, 31 August, 7:00 PM Central
Fox Sports North will not be doing a replay of the Vikings/49ers game.
So, there's your full pre-season broadcast and replay schedule, folks. Remember, three of the four games will be shown locally on KARE-11, and the other one will be the nationally featured game on NBC.
