As we wait for kickoff of the Minnesota Vikings' pre-season opener against the Houston Texans in just about an hour, we've gotten this interesting bit of information from official Vikings' blogger Mike Wobschall via the Twitter.
Joey Browner was just informed that he will be the 21st member of the #Vikings Ring of Honor pic.twitter.com/oW2Z2EmRHR

A while back, we speculated about who should be the next Viking to go into the Ring of Honor, and Browner was on the short list of players that were mentioned. He was one of the leaders of the Vikings' defenses of the mid-to-late 1980s, and known as one of the hardest hitters in the game. It's no surprise that he will be going into the ring with other legends of Vikings history.
Browner's induction will happen on 27 October, when the Vikings host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football.
Congratulations to Joey Browner on becoming the 21st member of the Minnesota Vikings' Ring of Honor. A well-deserved accolade, to be certain.
