Welcome to Tuesday here at The Daily Norseman, ladies and gentlemen. Week 1 of the 2013 National Football League season is officially in the books after the two match-ups from last night, and we're rapidly approaching the Week 2 match-up between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Ted took a look at some of the coaching decisions made by the Vikings on Sunday against Detroit.

-Some bottom-feeder decided it would be appropriate to suggest that Samantha Ponder murder her husband.

From some other outposts around the internet. . .

-The judge in the civil suit against the Wilf family has ruled that the Vikings' owners must publicly disclose their net worth.

-ESPN attempts to figure out why receiver Cordarrelle Patterson only played six offensive snaps on Sunday.

-Stop me if you've heard this one, but quarterback Christian Ponder, apparently, needs to play better for the Vikings to be successful.

-The National Football League is reviewing the low block by Detroit's Ndamukong Suh against Vikings' center John Sullivan.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've always been, folks. . .no religion, no politics, no feeding the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel that you absolutely must swear.

MOAR FLOYD as our week continues.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, everybody. I'm still attempting to wrap my head around the "Premium Stats" from the folks at Pro Football Focus. . .just got them a couple of hours ago. . .and once I do so I'll effort to put something together about the season opener. We should have some more stuff for you throughout the course of the day, too.
