Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 9/13

Gregory Shamus

It's Friday, ladies and gentlemen! We're just a couple of days away from the Minnesota Vikings taking the field again against the Chicago Bears. . .and hoping like heck that they put up a significantly better performance than they did last Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-As Ted pointed out, getting off to an 0-2 start within the division is a recipe for disaster.

-Eric has his picks column up for this week, and he's going for just that. . .an 0-2 Vikings' start.

From some other outposts around the internet. . .

-The Chicago Tribune thinks that Bears' receiver Alshon Jeffery could be in for a big game on Sunday against the Vikings.

-Apparently Antoine Winfield has not yet submitted his retirement papers. . .could this mean something for the Vikings?

-Offensive tackle Matt Kalil has picked a bad time to go into a slump. . .if that's what it is.

-One thing the Vikings will have to guard against on Sunday is quick throws from Jay Cutler.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as always, ladies and gentlemen. . .no religion, no politics, no feeding the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel the need to curse.

We conclude Pink Floyd week with this little number.

Next week is Led Zeppelin week, which should be pretty nice, too.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, ladies and gentlemen! Enjoy the Open Thread, enjoy the rest of your Friday, and we'll have more for you as the day rolls on.
