Minnesota Vikings At Chicago Bears: Second Quarter Open Thread

Much like last week in Detroit, the first time a member of the Minnesota Vikings touched the ball against the Chicago Bears, good things happened. Rookie Cordarrelle Patterson found the end zone for the first time in his NFL career, taking the opening kickoff from Robbie Gould 105 yards for a touchdown to give the Vikings a quick 7-0 lead.

Not to be outdone, Devin Hester set the Bears up nicely with a 76-yard return of his own, and the Bears converted with Jay Cutler finding his new tight end, Martellus Bennett, for a 2-yard touchdown pass to tie the score at seven.

Late in the quarter, after the Vikings put the Bears down inside their own 15-yard line, the Bears needed just three plays to go 86 yards, concluding with Cutler finding Brandon Marshall for a 34-yard touchdown pass to make the score 14-7. We start the second quarter with the Vikings looking at 1st-and-10 from their own 19.
