Browns At Vikings: Final Injury Reports

Hannah Foslien

As we do every Friday, it's time to take a look at the injury reports for both teams going into this weekend's contest at the Metrodome between the Cleveland Browns and the Minnesota Vikings. Let's start with the visitors in this inter-conference match-up.

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Quentin Groves DE Shoulder Out
Brandon Weeden QB Thumb Out
Shawn Lauvao G Ankle Doubtful
Ahtyba Rubin DE Calf Questionable
Desmond Bryant DE Wrist Probable
Josh Gordon WR Shin Probable
T.J. Ward S Shoulder Probable

In his Five Good Questions piece that he did with Eric, Dawgs By Nature lead blogger Chris Pokorny had stated that he wasn't planning on Lauvao being back, and he was right. That means that the Browns will have to start converted tackle Oniel Cousins at guard once again. . .and Cousins, from all accounts, has been awful this season. Advantage for the Vikings on that one.

And now we move on to the home team.

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Rhett Ellison TE Knee Out
Fred Evans DT Shoulder Probable
Brandon Fusco G Shoulder Probable
Erin Henderson LB Heel Probable
Phil Loadholt OT Knee Probable
Mistral Raymond S Shoulder Probable
Harrison Smith S Shoulder Probable
John Sullivan C Knee Probable
Kevin Williams DT Knee Probable

As we spoke about yesterday, Ellison has missed a few days of practice, so he will be sitting this one out. As the final game of Jerome Felton's three-game suspension is this Sunday, it appears that the majority of the lead blocking duties will fall upon rookie Zach Line. Here's hoping he's up to the task. Outside of that, there's nothing too earth-shattering on the Vikings' side of things.

And those are your final injury reports for the Cleveland Browns and the Minnesota Vikings heading into this Sunday, ladies and gentlemen.
