All of the Week 3 NFL action is in the books, ladies and gentlemen, and now we can start looking forward in earnest to what could be the highlight of the Minnesota Vikings' 2013 season. Yes, the team has already arrived in the United Kingdom, and we're just a few more days away from their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Wembley Stadium.
With that, we have a Twitter feed that we'd like to share with you. This comes from the good folks at The Pulling Linemen, a football blog with its home in the United Kingdom. One of their guys, Gur Samuel, that does a lot of writing from our friends from Bucs Nation, SB Nation's Tampa Bay Buccaneers' site. He's got media access to basically everything going on this week, so be sure to give him a follow to keep up with some of the events of this week. For now, here's their Twitter feed.
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-Arif took a look at all of the specifics that go into preparing for a game on the other side of the pond.
-The Indianapolis Colts apparently asked the Vikings about Toby Gerhart before "settling" for Trent Richardson.
-Kyle has a look at what he thinks the team should do now that it looks like they're still, in fact, rebuilding.
-A judge has determined exactly how much the Vikings owners have to pay in their New Jersey civil suit.
-The team has placed running back Zach Line on injured reserve to clear a spot for the returning Jerome Felton.
From some other outposts around the internet. . .
-Adrian Peterson's young daughter couldn't believe what happened to her daddy's team on Sunday, either.
-The state of Minnesota is preparing to issue bonds for the new Vikings stadium.
-A couple of pretty important guys are saying that the Vikings have problems at more places than quarterback.
-Coach Leslie Frazier also says that the team "won't change for the sake of change."
-If you'd like to hear a pretty interesting interview with Lester Bagley, you can find it here. (This site actually has plenty of interesting interviews. . .we'll be spotlighting them over the next few weeks here.)
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as always, ladies and gentlemen. . .no religion, no politics, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel that you absolutely must curse.
British Invasion Week continues with our ambient music with one of my all-time favorite songs.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, folks. Enjoy the rest of your day, and keep your eyes peeled for any new stuff we might have for you.
