Steelers At Vikings: Game Time, Channel, Radio Info And More

Harry Engels

We're just about 24 hours away between the big match-up between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Minnesota Vikings from Wembley Stadium in London, England. If you're wanting to follow along with all of the action, regardless of where you might be or what you might be doing, we have all of that info right here for you.

Television Info

As the Steelers are technically the "road" team for this game, it will once again be featured on CBS. The folks from The 506 tell us that the announcers for this one will be CBS' #1 team, comprised of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. Not as hyped as I was last week, that's for sure. . .honestly, Nantz's voice makes me think of The Masters, not the NFL. But, CBS thinks enough of this game to put their #1 team on it, so I guess that's something.

If you're outside of the coverage area for the game and are looking for the broadcast on the DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket package, you will be able to find it on Channel 707.

Kickoff time is scheduled for 12:00 Noon Central time, or 6:00 PM in the United Kingdom. It does not appear that the game will be part of AFN's broadcast schedule today.

Radio Info

If you're travelling or just prefer the sound of the radio call to the television announcers or what have you, the Vikings Radio Network is for you. Paul Allen and Pete Bercich are behind the mics again this season, and you can find one of their 74 affiliates near your area.

If you have satellite radio, you have options there as well. If you have an XM Radio, you'll be able to get the feed from the Vikings' announcers on Channel 225, as XM only has the home team's feed. If you have a Sirius Radio, you can get the Vikings' announcers on Channel 92 or the Steelers' announcers on Channel 113.

Referee Info

According to the folks from the Football Refs website, this week's game has been assigned to referee Clete Blakeman's crew. Much like last week with Bill Leavy, I'm not sure if this is a positive or a negative going in. I'm pretty sure that Blakeman's crew can't be worse than Leavy's, though.

Streaming Info

To my knowledge, there is no legal way to stream this particular game if you live in the United States. (Unless you have the Sunday Ticket through your video game console.) Do NOT. . .and I mean not in any way, shape, or form. . .promote illegal streaming sites on The Daily Norseman. Not in the comments, not in the FanPosts, not in the FanShots, not in the Game Thread on Sunday, not anywhere. Don't even hint at them. Trust me on this. If you're that determined to watch the game via an illegal stream, do a Google search and find it on your own.

If you live overseas, the only legal stream, that I know of, is to purchase NFL Game Pass from the folks at NFL.com, which is actually a pretty sweet deal. I've got it for the games that aren't on AFN, and from using it to watch the pre-season games, it's a pretty solid product.

That should be everything you need to find this Sunday's action, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy!
