What day is it? You know what day it is. We're one day away from the opening game of the 2013 NFL season, and just four days away from seeing the Minnesota Vikings kick off the 2013 season in Detroit against the Lions. Can you feel it, ladies and gentlemen?

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Ted gave you some of the things that he's going to be looking for in the opener.

-Do you have members of the Minnesota Vikings on your fantasy team? Well, we have an idea of which ones you should start and which ones you shouldn't.

From some other outposts around the internet. . .

-Yahoo! Sports has gotten into the business of Lloyd Christmas impressions as it pertains to Antoine Winfield returning to Minnesota.

-ESPN takes a look at what the Vikings might do in the absence of fullback Jerome Felton.

-A Washington man has been charged with assaulting a Vikings fan at last year's Vikings/Seahawks game in the Pacific Northwest.

-Fran Tarkenton warns about what concussions might do to the National Football League.

-Mike Mauti's father, Rich, is part of a group of four ex-players suing the NFL in the wake of the concussion settlement.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as always, ladies and gentlemen. No politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, and keep the bad language to a minimum/use the spoiler tags if you feel the need to curse.

For your ambient music today, something a little different.

I wasted a lot of time on Mario Paint Composer in my younger days.

Starting next week, we'll get back into themes with bands and stuff. I've heard Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin thus far, which are a couple of very good choices.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. We'll effort to have more for you throughout the course of the day today.
